Banerjee, S and Gunasekaran, MK and Raychaudhuri, AK (1989) Absolute velocity measurement using ultrasonic spectrometer. In: National Symposium on Acoustics '89, 14-16 December 1989, Calcutta, India, pp. 336-338.Full text not available from this repository.
A pulsed ultrasonic phase sensitive superheterodyne spectrometer which is normally used for the precise measurement of relative change in sound velocity $\Delta C$, by measuring the phase change $\varphi$ while travelling in the sample is used for absolute velocity measurement. The error associated with the measurement is also discussed in detail. The experimental results for typical samples are presented.
