Abstract

The phase diagram of the Au-Na system shows the presence of three intermediate phases; congruently melting $Au_2Na$ and incongruently melting intermetallics AuNa and $AuNa_2$. The Laves phase $Au_2Na$ has the C15 structure isotypic with $Cu_2Mg$.
