The V deoxidation diagram for liquid Co at 1873 K was computed based on the literature thermodynamic data and the activity of V for alloys contg. 1 and 3 at. % V detected using a galvanic cell. The equilbrium O concentration for these alloys in contact with V2O3 was measured to check the computed deoxidation curve. The results of computation are in excellent agreement with measured O concentration.
