Abstract

The first organically templated cadmium sulfates, $[C_4N_2H_{12}][CdCl_2SO_4] \cdot H_2O$ and $[C_4N_2H_{12}]_4[Cd_3Cl_{10}(SO_4)_2$ $(H_2O)] \cdot 3H_2O$, consisting of infinite linear chains and a quasi-2D layer formed by strip-like units respectively, have been synthesized and characterized.
