Abstract
In the title structure,$C_{7}H_{9}N_{2}O_{2}{^+}Cl{^-}$,the dihedral angle between the pyridinium ring and carboxymethylene group is $70.5(1){^o}$. The anions and cations are interconnected by intermolecular N—H...Cl and O—H...Cl hydrogen bonds,forming a three-dimensional network.
