Abstract
In Digital Beamforming arrays (DBF), array element outputs are heterodyned to zero IF, then converted to digital form and combined in a digital combiner. If this process is not linear, it gives rise to angle harmonics. This paper analyses the effect of limiting on the array performance as a spatial filter.
